Skywatch Friday - spring has (maybe, hopefully, possibly) sprung

In the UK spring officially began on Monday - the weather appears to have noted the date on the calendar. We've had lovely crisp blue days.
The spring flowers have started popping out - stopping the kids picking them has become a challenge. Our neighbour very nearly lost his whole crop of crocus. Until I took these photos I didn't realise how yummy snowdrops smelt.

And finally - I really wasn't going to put a black bridge photo in this week but the sun rays through the trees were just beautiful so.....

  4. I see spring is coming. I haven't snowdrops sprouting here yet. Our ground is still covered with snow though we have sun for 3 straight days now. Happy weekend.

  24. Beautiful springtime pictures! Our own spring came unusually early this year, and our snowdrops came and are already on their way out. My girls can't leave the flowers alone either, and snowdrops are often tucked behind ears or twined in hair because they're pretending they're fairies. It's hard to be mad when they are so adorable!

  26. Beautiful photos. I remember spring in Holland, with the snowdrops and crocuses; I was too young when I lived in England to remember it. There's not much like that here, and it's a long time until spring takes a hold in my part of the world.

  28. Hi again!
The trees in front of the church steeple are mostly Jacaranda trees with only their green on. The bare stick tree is a Maple that is not really doing too well but still trying.
The Jac's have wonderful deep purple blooms twice a year around May-June and then Sept-Oct.
If you would like to see some lovely ones go to my June archives and see Skywatch 47!
